Product Catalog & Digital Branding

Intro

BMO Centre Digital Wayfinding & Digital Signage I designed a system of digital displays for the BMO Centre, focused on clarity, prestige, and spatial integration. This project translates architectural scale into a refined digital language. The signage does not compete with the interior — it completes it. The visual system is built on contrast, precision, and restraint: - Clear hierarchy for instant navigation - Minimal composition that aligns with premium interiors - Subtle motion and light accents to guide attention without noise - Seamless integration into large-scale architectural spaces These displays function as more than wayfinding tools. They reinforce the building’s identity, elevate the visitor experience, and signal a high standard of organization and professionalism from the first step inside. A calm, confident design for a high-traffic, high-status environment. DESIGN PROCESS ‍ Inside the BMO Centre, there is a custom-made fireplace that immediately defines the atmosphere of the interior. It is a strong architectural focal point — refined, warm, and deliberately premium. During the early concept phase, together with the marketing department, we made a strategic decision: the digital signage should not feel like an added technical element. It had to visually belong to the architecture and echo the language of the space. CONCEPT & INSPIRATION The fireplace became the key visual reference. Its materials, tones, and finishes set the direction for the entire digital system. Rather than copying it literally, the goal was to translate its essence into a contemporary digital form. This led to a clear design principle: the signage should feel like an extension of the interior design, not a separate layer. VISUAL LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT ‍ I developed a visual system inspired by the fireplace’s character: - Warm metallic tones — gold and copper — to reflect sophistication and depth - Subtle gradients and light reflections to mirror the material richness - Clean geometry and controlled contrast to keep the system modern and timeless Every element was intentionally restrained. The challenge was balancing warmth and elegance with clarity and legibility in a high-traffic environment. MODERN INTERPRETATION ‍ A key requirement from leadership was that the signage must feel contemporary, not decorative. To achieve this, the design avoids excess ornamentation and relies on: - Minimal layouts - Strong hierarchy - Confident use of negative space The metallic color palette was refined to feel architectural and premium rather than literal or flashy. RESULT ‍ The final digital signage system visually resonates with the custom fireplace while maintaining a modern, professional presence. It creates a cohesive experience where architecture, branding, and digital communication work together seamlessly. This approach transformed the screens into architectural accents — functional, elegant, and fully aligned with the identity of the space.
